Daily Itinerary: An Adventure through Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau
Day 1: Gathering in Shenzhen
Itinerary: Gathering day with free activities.
Meals: None.
Accommodation: Comfortable hotel in Shenzhen (standard room).
Today, teammates from all over the country gather in Shenzhen and check in at the designated hotel. Around 6 p.m., a pre-trip briefing will be held in the hotel lobby. The team leader will explain the activity precautions, especially those regarding entry and exit from Hong Kong and Macau. This is a must-attend. After the briefing, if interested, the team leader can take everyone to climb Lianhua Mountain to enjoy the night view of Shenzhen.
Day 2: Hiking along the "Most Beautiful Coastline in Shenzhen" - Dongchong and Xichong
Hiking distance: 7 kilometers, about 5 - 6 hours. Surface: Dirt road and stone road.
Driving distance: 170 kilometers, about 4 hours.
Meals: Breakfast included. Packed lunch on your own. Dinner on your own.
Accommodation: Comfortable hotel in Shenzhen (standard room).
After breakfast, set off around 8 a.m. for Dongchong Village in Yantian District, Shenzhen. After a simple warm-up led by the team leader, start hiking along the "most beautiful coastline in Shenzhen" - from Dongchong to Xichong. Along the way, there are dirt roads and stone roads. Some sections require climbing with hands and feet, providing an excellent hiking experience. Enjoy the beautiful coastline scenery of Shenzhen and listen to the waves crashing against the rocks. Have a simple packed lunch at noon. The hike ends around 5 p.m. and then return to Shenzhen by bus.
Warm reminder: In case of heavy rain, for safety reasons, the route will be changed to Yangmeikeng - Luju Shan (the filming location of the movie "The Mermaid"), which is about 10 kilometers.
Day 3: Shenzhen - Crossing the border to Hong Kong - Sai Kung Pier - Camping
Transportation: 40 minutes by boat, 20 minutes by speedboat, 2 hours by chartered bus/public transportation.
Meals: Breakfast included. Lunch on your own. Campfire hot pot in the evening.
Accommodation: Camping on the island (two people per tent, provided with tent + moisture-proof mat + sleeping bag).
Gather and set off at 8 a.m. Meet at Futian Port and cross the border to Hong Kong. Take a chartered bus to Sai Kung Market. Have lunch and do some shopping at Sai Kung Pier. Around 2 p.m., take a boat to Tammon Island for a stroll. At around 4 p.m., take a speedboat to the campsite. Learn to set up tents with the team leader and enjoy the comfortable sea breeze and first-class sea view. Have a self-service hot pot dinner. After dinner, stargaze, enjoy the moon and chat, and fall asleep under the night sky.
Warm reminder:
1. Hong Kong attaches great importance to the protection of wild animals. During hiking and camping, you may encounter wild animals such as wild cattle and wild pigs. They will not attack humans actively. Just be careful and avoid them.
2. After crossing the border, your luggage will be directly sent to the urban hotel where you will stay on Day 4. Please separate your toiletries for the night and hiking items for the next day into a small bag.
3. A simple toiletries kit including toothbrush, towel and slippers will be provided for camping. It is recommended to bring a sleeping bag liner for camping.
4. From the afternoon of this day to the next morning, the mobile signal is weak and some operators may have no network.
Day 4: Campsite - Section 2 of MacLehose Trail - Hong Kong urban area
Hiking distance: 8.5 kilometers, about 5 - 6 hours. Ascent: 400 meters. Surface: Paved road.
Transportation: 30 minutes by speedboat, about 3 hours by chartered bus/public transportation.
Meals: Breakfast at the campsite. Packed lunch on your own. Dinner on your own.
Accommodation: Ctrip four-diamond hotel in Hong Kong (standard room).
Wake up to the sound of the waves. If the weather is good, you can get up early to watch the sunrise. After a simple wash, break camp. After having breakfast, take a boat to the starting point of the hike. After a warm-up, start the day's itinerary - the most beautiful and essence section of the MacLehose Trail. Pass by Ham Tin Wan and Sai Wan. You can replenish supplies at stores along the way. After reaching Sai Wan Pavilion, take a chartered bus to the hotel. You can freely arrange your activities in the evening.
Warm reminder: Hong Kong is a place with a large population and limited land. Hotels in Hong Kong are generally small in size. The room space is about 11 - 15 square meters (standard room is 0.9m x 2, large bed is 1.5m x). Please be mentally prepared for this. Day 5: Hiking on Cheung Chau Island - Central Pier - Victoria Peak - Hotel
Hiking distance: 4 kilometers on Cheung Chau Island, about 2 hours; 6 - 8 kilometers on Victoria Peak with an ascent of 450 meters, about 2 - 3 hours.
Transportation: 2 hours by ferry, 1.5 hours by bus.

Return to the hotel and gather around 3 p.m. Take a direct bus from Lai Chi Kok Station to Zhuhai via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. Check in at the Zhuhai hotel. Have a celebration banquet in the evening. After the meal, you can freely arrange your activities. It is recommended to visit Lovers' Road or the big shell.
Day 7: Crossing the border to Macau - One-day city walk in Macau - Casino/Disbanding in Zhuhai
Hiking distance: 10 kilometers, about 5 - 6 hours. Urban leisure hiking.
Transportation: Taxi/public bus/light rail.
Meals: Breakfast included. Lunch and dinner on your own.
Accommodation: None.
After breakfast, set off for the port to cross the border to Macau. Arrive in Macau around 9 a.m. Take a bus for an hour to reach the starting point of the hike - Tai Tam Country Park. Take the Macau inclined elevator, which has won a world gold medal, to the observation deck and start the semi-circular hike in Tai Tam Country Park. Along the way, you can overlook the Macau airport and the highest point in Taipa for photo opportunities. Then pass by Longtan Portuguese Flavor and arrive at the famous food street in Macau: Rua do Cunha. Look for various特色 dishes such as pork chop buns, egg tarts, curry fish balls and Portuguese cuisine for lunch on your own. Later, take the Macau light rail to A-Ma Temple and start the afternoon's World Heritage Trail on the Macau Peninsula.
